CITY OF AUSTIN -- FREE SERVICES
The City of Austin has two types of service to accomodate recycling and hazardous waste disposal. The services spotlighted here are specific to GCS products. Processing Household Batteries:

    Processing Hazardous Materials, et al:
    Including: latex paint, oil-based paint, furniture strippers, paint thinners, lawn care chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, pool chemicals, herbicides,insecticides, fungicides, cleaning products bleach or products containing bleach, ammonia or ammonia-based products, all-purpose cleaners, furniture polish, spot removers, scouring powder, oven cleaner, bathroom cleaners, bug spray, automotive products (motor oil, oil filters, gasoline, anti-freeze, lubricants, car batteries, brake fluid, transmission fluid, car wax, metal polish, etc.)

    NOTE: Austin's Hazardous Waste Depot Cannot Accept: * Radioactive waste * Needles, syringes, medical waste * Ammunition * Explosive materials * Computers or other appliances * Compressed Gas Cylinders * Cooking oil * Any waste generated by a business.
